Steven Rothschild's first book, The Realm of the Ten Gods, has become a best-selling, critically acclaimed novel, and won multiple literary awards. His best friend, Professor Charles Addison, has convinced him to come to guest lecture in his class on creative writing at the University of Iowa, well known for its creative writing program. Things seem to be going great, so Steven is surprised when FBI agents show up at the end of his lecture and ask him to go with them. Things only get stranger, as they revel themselves to be travelers from another planet, and that they need his help to stop a war between theirs and Earth. And so, Steven is introduced to a world of twin gods, dragons, magic, warriors, and kings. And for some reason, he was chosen to save earth from an invasion force building up to conquer it, planning on arriving through a large portal being magicked and summoned as he desperately tries to get the Council of Kings to stop the invasion. All the while, a malevolent force seems to be guiding events in the background, just out of site of our hero's party.
What? A book that is a fictional book in another book? BOOKCEPTION! So, in case you can't tell, I LOVE trilogies. So yes, another 3 book series. This is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy, taking place in an alien universe.
Welcome to the Anwaar Federation. It is made up of four planets, in the same solar system, orbiting the twin suns, Chire and Chira.
The planet closest to the suns is called Eiru. On Eiru, live the Fai, an insectoid and hive-minded race; they have a queen that rules them.
The next closest planet is called Kairu, on which exist the Sani and the Gerel. The Sani are a nomadic, trading people. They are reptilian looking, with scales that have hardened and become like a layered armor, while being spiked on their legs/arms/tails. The Gerel on the other hand are not nomadic, but rather live in the large mountain range on their continent. They are human in appearance. They are spiritually linked to the other race on the continent, the Arrack. The Arrack are giant rock golems that are born only when a Gerel is born.
The next planet is Nairu, on which live the Tavalu. The Tavalu are a plant-like people, with leaves and growth growing from their appendages so that they blend in better with their environment.
The final planet is in an orbit very far away from the twin stars, and thus is an ice planet. It is called Riku, and the race that inhabits this planet is known as the Vesna. The Vesna are a fierce, warrior-like people, and look like a mix between a werewolf and a werecat.
All of the races of the Anwaar Federation celebrate one religion. It is not known how this religion was discovered, but each and every race knows of The Decathon.
The Anwaar Federation exists in the Fa Galaxy. The Fa galaxy contains two large “arms”. The solar system that the Anwaar Federation exists in, called the Anwaar System, is at the end of one of the arms. The rest of the arm, and the entirety of the other arm, are home to the Velmenni Empire. The Velmenni vehemently object to the idea of deities, and have done so since as long as they have had a recorded history.
The Velmenni and the Anwaar Federation have had an uneasy truce for the past 100 cycles. Before that, they fought what is called The Great War. It lasted for 50 cycles, and both sides suffered terrible losses. But now it seems the truce is ending. The chosen of the gods are mysteriously dying, and the Velmenni are becoming active again...
A book set in the modern day world, with a bit of a sci-fi/supernatural twist. Consists of 5 books: Genesis, Judges, ECC (Error and Chaos Correction), Romans, and Revelations.

This is the message delivered unto the world. Delivered by mail, by email, interrupting TV, radio, web-streaming, everything. It is repeated twice more, and then the world returns as it was. Except that it doesn't. The president of Greece organizes an interview to talk about how he was able to turn his country around into one of the most economically prosperous countries in the world today. And he attributes it all to the ancient Greek Pantheon, of which he is a devout follower. And so the ancient religion spreads, even to the US. But Lucas Miles, a half black, half Puerto-Rican ex convict, doesn't believe in any of that. Not until he is dragged into the underworld by Hades himself, and asked to become the next hero of the pantheon.
Nadeen Hassan is known as an acquirer. And she is one of the best in the business. So when she is asked to find the lost tomb of the Uraeus Belt, an ancient artifact thought to be legend, she only asks for a large sum and no guarantees. What she finds are the ancient Egyptian gods, alive and well, preparing for another battle over mankind. So Nadeen is asked to be their hero, and help stop the forces Anubis and Set. In order to do so, she will need to collect other artifacts to give herself the weapons and armor needed to fight the supernatural beings put in motion to assist the evil gods.
Lucas Pedersen was trying to enjoy a peaceful vacation with his wife and daughter, escaping the cold of Norway for the warm beaches of Mexico. Everything went sideways when their hotel was attacked by zombies. As if not enough, the sky becomes dark and clouded, and snow begins to fall. Large Dire Wolves, appearing from nowhere, begin attacking the hotel and surrounding areas as well. Both them and the zombies seem to be converging on Lucas, and it is all he can do to stay ahead of them and keep his wife and daughter safe. Just as it seems hope is lost, he is saved by a giant boar, with mane and bristles of glowing gold. And upon the beasts back rides twins, a woman and a man, easily towering above the largest man Lucas has ever known. They are Freyr and Freya, god and goddess of the ancient Norse religion, and they need Lucas to help prevent the next Ragnorak.
This is a story all about how Brennan's life got flip turned, upside down. How he let the literal demon residing inside him free, and how he plans on making things right with the world. It consists of 3 books: Cursed, Damned, and Exiled.
"He’s always been there. Waiting. Until then, until that night, I had managed to keep him inside. And then it happened. An impossible situation I was powerless to stop. And he wasn’t. I slipped. I gave in, and let him out. And I paid dearly for it. He killed the three men. Then he killed Alissa. Then he tried to kill me."
I'm gonna be honest here, no idea how big this story is. At least one, book, but it crosses over with Shax.
Grayson Jones is on his way out of Western Grove, Arkansas, a small sleepy mid-west town. He's not even going to his own high school graduation, knowing full well he already graduated. While hitchhiking along along US 65, he gets picked up by a well dressed man in a nice sports car, after he unceremoniously splashes him in a giant puddle. The man introduces himself as Lucifer Morningstar. Grayson is loathe to believe it, but isn't one to turn down a ride, especially in a car as nice as this one. But the devil is in the details, or in this case, a detailed Dodge Challenger. That can talk. And somehow his clothes are clean. And they just flew off the highway, into the forest, and somehow landed on a driveway leading to a palatial country-side estate. Could this man actually be the Devil? If so, what does he want with Grayson? And what kind of party did he agree to attend?
Combat vet Ryan Williams gets sent home on leave after a harrowing mission. The reason is twofold. First, considering his performance on his last mission, he is being sent to command school in two weeks. The second: his dad, sheriff of the town he grew up in, died of a heart attack. After his own close call with death, he has decided to settle down with his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Lily Wagner. His best friend, Jonathon Greenstone, asks his permission to run for sheriff to fill the big shoes left by his dad. Things seem to be looking up for him. Then, while going door to door campaigning for Jon, old man Mills answer the door naked. Kind of. Turns out he is a werewolf. Oh, and Lily is vampire royalty. And his dad didn't die from a heart attack, but rather having his heart ripped out of his body. Turns out his weird ability to sense things through metal might not be the weirdest part of his life after all.
The story follows Temen, an immortal born between 2900–2350 BC. Temen was blessed by the goddess Inanna with everlasting life, to be between 30-40 forever, charm, beauty, and all knowledge of warfare (any kind of fighting). It starts in modern day, as he is beginning his life "anew", this time as an FBI agent in Boston. He gets assigned a case that ends up being supernatural in nature, and pulls on all of his skills to solve and stop, with help from his on-again-off-again fiance (one of the first vampires) and his best friend (the man behind the myth of Noah). Even though his last "life" ended on his terms, it looks like this one might not be so voluntary...
My name is Lucian Edwards. I am the Count of the Dark Forest, in a place called Bulaam Gazruud, which roughly translates to the Enchanted Lands in the tongue of the Ancients. The Ancients of this world are a mystery, having died off millenia before the current civilizations...but that is a tale that can wait for another day.
Under me, in this vast forest I call home, are several vassals, living in communities of their own. First is the Werewolves, which live in the village around my estate. They were my first encounter in this world, and the closest relation to myself, being a human (albeit with a unique gift that was bestowed upon me when I arrived. I’ll get to that). They must shift on a full moon, and can shift when it is not full, though there are some caveats to it. For most of the time, they are just very strong, durable humans.
There is a colony of Nychterid Bats, whose bodies grow as large as a bull moose, that lives in the northern part of the woods. The older ones have learned the language called “Common”, and can thus communicate. They tend to be the de facto leaders of the colony, which makes it all the easier to form a pact with them, if one so chooses.
The southern part is home to a colony of spiders that start off the size of your palm, and grow to be as big as an elephant. While they cannot “speak”, per se, they can use telepathy when they are full grown. They mostly use this skill to confuse prey to make the hunt easier, but I have taught them to use it for normal communication as well. It is what helped me form a pact with the colony.
To the east, live the goblins. They are small, no bigger than four feet tall, and are the weakest of the inhabitants of the Dark Forest, but make up for it with what I call technomancy, or the combination of magic and technology. You see, in this world, technology and magic are kind of combined. I call it technomancy, but most of those outside the Dark Forest just gave it the blank term of “applied magic”. Inside the Dark forest, the technomancy term has caught on.
Finally, to the west, where the forest meets directly with Lake Alnisyan (whose name’s translation has been lost and forgotten, part of that whole “Ancients” thing), live the Minotaur peoples. For a long time, the Minotaur had an uneasy truce with the Kingdom of Valea, whose inhabitants live in a..well, kingdom…across the bank from the forest. The lake is large enough that the two peoples rarely ever interacted with each other, and provided a natural defense from the kingdom for a long time. That was, until the rule of Kral (which as far as I can tell is a title similar to a king) Ballafande.
But I’m giving you background on a world without giving you reason for it. You see, I wasn’t born here, let alone born into a rich family ruling a territory. I was summoned here, by an unlikely race of peoples, and for an impossible task. And somehow, I made it work. Let me tell you my story, starting from the day I was summoned to the world of Ertonis.
Lucas and Jason had been through some shit. First, their dad had just disappeared. Like literally, disappeared. He had been taking the trash to the curb, and then never came back. The security camera in the front of the house showed him bringing the recycling, and then he was just gone. No one could explain it.
Then, the world went to shit. Too many things happened to say what the domino or tipping point was, but the world went to shit. Luckily, not everyone launched a nuke, but enough did to cause the world as they had known it to stop. There was chaos for a while after that. In the midst of the violence and rebuilding, their mom had gotten sick. She lasted a year after getting sick before passing one night.
It was another year before the two would lead a group to what would later be called Atlantis. They somehow got a hold of some navy vessels, and found and took over a couple of deep sea oil drilling platforms. They built up infrastructure, and a platform system to connect the two. In ten years, they had created Atlantis, a bastion of civilization.
Today was supposed to be a joyous day. Todd, their head engineer, had finally gotten a communications system in place. Not quite like the old cell phone networks, but it could transmit a signal internally and about twenty miles externally. The citizens of Atlantis would be able to call each other.
Instead, Lucas got a call from the hospital. His dad had just shown up in a room. Not delivered, but just appeared, in a room that was supposed to be vacant. Not an old man, but seemingly no older than the day he disappeared. And there are…strange things about him, best seen and not discussed over the phone...
